Bartering the Old-fashioned Way

I believe in this somewhat
old-fashioned system.
I have a couple of clients that barter
their services / products
for organizing time with me.
It works out well for all.

Any thoughts on bartering?

Our stress level and clutter.

My Amazingly Organized Friend

I have a long-time friend, we're talking high school, who is The Best at organizing that I know.
She, (Nancy) built a house this year and the planning and thought that she put into the plans are-
No other word is big enough.

I went to Illinois this fall to visit Nancy and to see her beautiful new home.
My mind was constantly in motion because I was trying to soak up all of her amazing ideas.

An Organizer's Dream Home

If I were ever going to build again I would, for sure, call her first.
I think if I was ever hired to help someone with their house plans I would, for sure, call her first.
She so graciously agreed to send me some pictures of her pantry.
She thought of everything

Enjoy the views and soak up her ideas.
They're GOOD Ones!

Love them!

 All of her containers-
Ohhhh, they make my heart pitter-patter
Ha Ha

 Lazy Susans, tiered shelves
and label makers are great inventions.

 Have any of you seen
"Sleeping With the Enemy"?
-just joking-
Love you, Nanc

The glass canisters with the cute lids?

My goal-
Containers for Everything.
Did you notice her little trick of keeping the nutritional info in the container?

This is how she stores her clean, pressed, ready-to-go table clothes.

All of the entertaining things that aren't used daily are on the top shelf.

Did you notice her swinging, glass pantry door?
This is the back view from inside of her pantry.
It says Pantry on it.
So So Cute!
Thank you, Nancy, for sharing your ideas with us!
Can't wait for the pics of your
Wrapping Station!

A Fresh New Start

It's That Time of Year
Time For Fresh Starts
I'm starting my new year off with a new venture!
I have launched a new business called
Simplify With Joy
(You can find me on facebook and Like my page, if you so desire.)

I am so excited about this new adventure in my life,
and so ready for a new challenge.

I have always loved to oragnize and decorate;
to make things pretty and functional.
I am now going to take those natural tendencies
and put them into use in a more professional way.

For many years I have helped other people
clean out their closets, etc...
Ask My Best Customer,
My Sister.
She always has a project for me to work on.

She told me that she looks at a closet and
it makes her feel dizzy.
I told her that I look at her little shop
and all of the creativity and work that goes
into creating and maintaining it,
and I feel dizzy.

God gifts us with our own unique passions and skills.
It's nice when they cross over and you can help
each other.
I have received some amazing furnitue and trinkets
from her cool, little shop in the past.
They Are Favorite Things Forever!
More to come later about her new shop
